How it works
One clear path, from your first question to your trip home.
Some cases need a single consultation; others involve diagnostics, dental care, a procedure or surgery, or several specialists working together. The process starts the same way — we understand what you’re trying to solve, then identify and verify an appropriate clinician or care team for your case. Seven steps: the first four are a conversation, and clinical information only enters when you decide to go further — we mark exactly where.
- Step 1
Tell us what you’re dealing with
A short conversation. No records, no images, no medical history to fill out.
This is a conversation, not an application.
- Step 2
We understand what you’re trying to solve
We ask what’s been going on, what you’ve already tried, how it’s affecting you, and what a good outcome would look like. If you already have a diagnosis, treatment proposal or quote, we organize that too.
- Step 3
We identify appropriate options
We look at whether an appropriate provider is a reasonable fit for your case, verify key information before any introduction, and tell you honestly if none is yet.
- Step 4
You receive a clear coordination plan
One document: the proposed next steps, what’s included, what’s excluded, expected costs, and our coordination fee — in plain language. Clinical recommendations come from the provider after evaluation.
- Step 5 Where clinical information begins
Clinical evaluation
If you decide to go further, the provider evaluates you directly. This is the first point where clinical information is shared.
Atlas Salus does not evaluate you clinically. Licensed specialists do that.
- Step 6
We coordinate the journey
Flights, arrival, transport, accommodation, the order of your appointments, and a single person you can reach the whole way through.
- Step 7
We stay involved
Follow-up after you return, and coordination with your provider if something needs attention. We work alongside your doctor at home, not in their place.
Getting there safely
Why Monterrey, and how we handle safety.
Monterrey has direct nonstop flights from Houston (IAH) and Dallas (DFW), so the trip doesn’t involve driving through border regions.
We point you to the current US State Department advisory so you can read it yourself, and we avoid ground routes through neighbouring regions entirely.

You stay in an established part of the city, close to where care happens — with real distances, in minutes, not vague reassurances.
How we choose providers
What has to be true before we work with someone.
-
Credentials we verify
Professional identity, licensure and relevant credentials, verified from appropriate sources before referral.
-
Treatment setting
We verify where the proposed care will take place, and apply additional facility checks when appropriate to the type and complexity of care.
-
A quote that declares its scope
A provider willing to state, in writing, exactly what is and isn’t included.
-
Honesty about fit
The willingness to tell us — and you — when a case isn’t a good match.
What we don’t do
We don’t judge the clinical merits of an individual case, we don’t give a second medical opinion, and we don’t guarantee outcomes. Those belong to the specialists. What we commit to is making the process, known costs, assumptions and open questions as clear as possible before you decide. And we’re not an emergency service — in an emergency, you contact local emergency care directly.
Start with a conversation.
Tell us what you’re facing. We’ll help you see it clearly — and only go further if it makes sense for you.
Clarity before treatment. Confidence through the journey.
